Custom software and AI integration, built to an enterprise standard.
We build the systems small and mid-sized businesses run on — and bring AI into the ones you already have. Independent since 2012, applying the engineering discipline of enterprise platforms to work that has to ship on a real budget.
What we do
Four ways we help you ship.
Most of our work starts with a business that has outgrown its spreadsheets, inherited a system nobody understands, or knows AI should be doing more for them and isn't sure where to begin.
Software Consulting
An honest read on where your technology stands, what it will cost you to stay the course, and the shortest path to where you need to be.

Line-of-business systems, integrations, and data platforms built around how your company actually works — not how a vendor's product wishes you did.

Our deepest focus. Put AI to work inside the systems you already run, or build something AI-native from the ground up — with guardrails that hold.

Mobile and cross-platform apps taken all the way through store review, signing, subscriptions, and release — because we do it for our own products too.

Enterprise discipline, small-business scale.
The practices behind this company were built on systems where downtime was measured in revenue and a bad schema change reached millions of records. We bring that same bar to a fifteen-person company's inventory system.
- Architecture before code Service topology, data flow, and a security model agreed in writing before anyone opens an editor.
- Quality enforced by machines, not memory Automated architecture tests, coverage gates, zero-warning builds, and CI/CD pipelines from day one.
Of enterprise engineering experience behind every engagement
Active records served by platforms our team has architected
Disparate repositories consolidated into a single search platform
Standing code-coverage gate on our own product builds
Our deepest focus
AI that survives contact with your business.
The demo is easy. The hard part is everything after: what happens when the model is confidently wrong, when a customer sees a hallucinated answer, when the invoice from your provider arrives.
We build AI features the way we build everything else — with a defined response contract, screening on the way out, a plan for the failure case, and a cost model you can actually forecast. Often the right answer is a model running on your own hardware, where your data never leaves the building.
-
Provider-agnostic by design
One response schema, served interchangeably by an on-device model, a server on your own network, or a cloud provider. Switch without a rewrite.
-
Private and offline where it counts
We ship products that run inference entirely on-device — no round trip, no per-query cost, no customer data leaving the machine.
-
Guardrails in the pipeline
Automated screening and refusal handling built into every response path, not bolted on after the first bad output reaches a customer.
Our own products
We ship apps, not just proposals.
Alongside client work we build and maintain our own applications. It keeps us honest: every store policy, signing headache, and subscription edge case we'd hit on your project, we've already hit on ours.
Remedy Lab is our AI-native mobile app — it turns a plain-language question into clear, step-by-step instructions for natural remedies and homemade products, with automated hazard screening built into every response. It runs its AI on-device by default, so it works with no signal and sends nothing to a server.

AI Discipline
A Senior Engineer's Field Manual for Agentic Development
AI agents can generate a sprint's worth of code in an afternoon — and flood a codebase with plausible, confident, subtly wrong code faster than any human can review it. AI Discipline argues that the economics of engineering have inverted: writing code is now nearly free, and discipline is the scarce resource.

How an engagement runs
No surprises, in either direction.
01 · Understand
We learn your business before your systems. What makes you money, what slows you down, what breaks at month end.
02 · Scope
A written plan with the architecture, the sequence, the assumptions, and a cost you can take to a decision-maker.
03 · Build
Working software in front of you early and often. Automated tests and pipelines from the first commit, not the last week.
04 · Hand over
Documentation, runbooks, and a walkthrough with your people. Ongoing support if you want it — never because you're stuck.
Let's talk
Tell us what's slowing you down.
A first conversation costs nothing and usually clarifies more than a month of internal debate. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you that too.
